Verner Panton was a Danish architect and designer, known for his innovative contributions to modern furniture and interior design. Born in Gamtofte, Denwark, Verner’s work is characterized by the use of bold colors, geometric shapes, and avant-garde forms.

Verner Panton took several years to find a manufacturer. In partnership with Vitra, they developed the Panton Chair. The original version of the chair with a glossy lacquer finish is still marketed today under the name Panton Chair Classic.
