Tri Ad Ik Dining Table

Every composition starts with a handful of simple shapes. For the Bauhaus masters, among them Wassily Kandinsky, three of them formed the alphabet of visual language: the triangle, the circle, and the square. The Tri Ad Ik Dining Table, a sculptural round dining table from Malabar, gives that alphabet a body.

Two pyramids, triangles in profile and squares at their bases, meet at a single point, one inverted above the other, in a balance that seems to defy gravity. Two navy lacquered curved forms brace the composition, and the circle returns in a generous tabletop that floats above it all, as if the geometry below were holding up a sheet of water.

Up close, each solid has its own voice. Azul Estremoz terrazzo, pale blue and flecked with cream and amber chips, shapes the inverted pyramid; deep navy lacquer gives the curved forms their depth; and Rosso travertine anchors the whole with the warm veining of stone. The melted glass top catches and scatters light like moving water, while a smaller orange lacquered base at its center adds the spark of color that completes the palette.

A centerpiece for dining rooms, hospitality spaces, and gallery-like interiors, where the table becomes a sculpture before the first guest sits down. The name Tri Ad Ik plays on "triadic": three forms, three pieces, one collection, alongside the side table and the dining chair.
