Installations at Milan Design Week 2025

1. Alcova At Milan Design Week

This year, Alcova expands across four striking locations — including Villa Borsani, Villa Bagatti Valsecchi, the former SNIA factory, and the Pasino Glasshouses. The contrast between historical architecture and contemporary design sets the tone for a series of installations that feel both grounded and provocative.

With a strong focus on emerging talent, material experimentation, and spatial storytelling, Alcova 2025 creates a dialogue between past and present. Each site offers a unique atmosphere, making the experience as much about the setting as it is about the design itself.

2. Hermès At Milan Design Week

At Milan Design Week 2025, Hermès presents a serene yet powerful installation inside the imposing halls of La Pelota. This year’s scenography revolves around monumental structures built from raw, natural materials — copper, wicker, leather, and wood — forming architectural totems that evoke both strength and softness.

The collection itself features refined homeware pieces: delicate tableware, minimalist lighting, and textiles that explore texture and craftsmanship. With a focus on material honesty and timeless elegance, Hermès creates a space that feels like a temple to artisanal excellence — contemplative, tactile, and exquisitely composed.

More than a product showcase, the installation is an immersive journey into the house’s design philosophy, where every object is part of a larger narrative about heritage, nature, and restraint.

3. Louis Vuitton At Milan Design Week

For Milan Design Week 2025, Louis Vuitton returns to the neoclassical splendor of Palazzo Serbelloni with its Objets Nomades collection — a series of limited-edition furniture and design pieces inspired by the spirit of travel.

This year’s presentation blends elegance and imagination, with new pieces from renowned designers such as Atelier Oï, Marcel Wanders, and the Campana Brothers. From floating hammocks and foldable stools to luminous sculptural lamps, each creation merges function with fantasy, infused with the house’s signature craftsmanship and refined materials.

The setting itself enhances the dreamlike atmosphere: richly adorned rooms contrast with the contemporary silhouettes, allowing the objects to stand out while dialoguing with history. Objets Nomades continues to explore how movement, comfort, and luxury can coexist in playful, portable forms — making this exhibition both whimsical and unforgettable.

4. Malabar At Milan Design Week

In the dynamic setting of Spazio Bruno Bordese, as part of the Associative Design collective, Malabar brings a distinctly Portuguese voice to the Milan Design Week 2025. The brand’s presence stands out not only for its bold, sculptural pieces, but for the emotional weight they carry — a celebration of heritage, identity, and the power of form.

Rich in geometry and artistic intention, the installation invites visitors into a space where design transcends utility. Every curve and surface reflects Malabar’s commitment to craftsmanship rooted in Portuguese tradition, yet fully attuned to the language of contemporary collectible design.

The materials, finishes, and proportions speak in harmony, creating an atmosphere that feels more like an introspective gallery than a conventional showroom. In Brera — a district known for its artistic depth — Malabar positions itself not just as a furniture brand, but as a storyteller in three dimensions.
